Creatures of Sonaria Aquatic Creatures: Oxygen and Moisture
Updated 2026-09-08 · Last verified 2026-09-08 · Roblox Creatures of Sonaria
Creatures of Sonaria has 28 creatures typed Aquatic and 69 typed Semi-Aquatic out of 481 released creatures, and water play is governed by two separate fields in the game's own stat table: an oxygen timer and a moisture timer. They are not the same clock and they are not carried by the same creatures, which is where most water guides go wrong.
Every figure on this page comes from the structured creature data published on the official community wiki, the revision dated 4 September 2026. Where a count is not one of our precomputed rankings, it was computed directly from that same 481-creature table and is labelled as such. Rankings change when the table changes, so the date is part of the answer.
The two timers, and what a blank means
| Field | Unit | What it governs | Creatures with a value | What a blank means |
|---|---|---|---|---|
oxygenTime | seconds | How long the creature can stay submerged before it must surface | 397 | The creature does not need air to breathe at all |
moistureTime | seconds | How long a permeable-skinned creature can stay out of water before drying out | 77 | The creature has dry skin and never needs to re-wet |
beachSpeed | speed | Carried only by creatures that leave the water awkwardly | 37 | The creature has no separate beached movement value |
walkAndSwimSpeed | speed | Base non-sprint movement, on land and in water | 481 | Never blank |
The counts differ because the two fields answer opposite questions. The official wiki sorts the same roster into Needs air to breathe (397) and Does not need air to breathe (84), and those numbers land exactly on the oxygen field: 397 values, 84 blanks. The 77 creatures with a moisture value match the wiki's permeable-skin categories just as cleanly, at 28 Permeable Skin Aquatic, 34 Permeable Skin Semi-Aquatic and 15 Permeable Skin Flier. Two independent classifications, one arithmetic.
That leaves four groups, computed from the 4 September table:
| Group | Count | What it means in play |
|---|---|---|
| Oxygen only | 386 | Drowns, never dries out. Every Terrestrial and every Glider sits here |
| Moisture only | 66 | Dries out, never drowns. Free to sit on the bottom indefinitely |
| Both timers | 11 | Two clocks at once, in opposite directions |
| Neither timer | 18 | No drowning, no drying. 11 Semi-Aquatic and 7 Fliers |
The eleven creatures carrying both are the most constrained in the game, because surfacing solves one problem and creates the other.
| Creature | Oxygen (s) | Moisture (s) | Tier | Type | Diet |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aqoxturumox | 2400 | 120 | 5 | Aquatic | Herbivore |
| Haxaline | 1500 | 180 | 4 | Aquatic | Herbivore |
| Opralegion | 1500 | 200 | 5 | Flier | Omnivore |
| Denjzi | 1320 | 300 | 4 | Semi-Aquatic | Carnivore |
| Nimoona | 1000 | 200 | 1 | Aquatic | Herbivore |
| Sarcosiris | 900 | 300 | 5 | Semi-Aquatic | Carnivore |

| Fuejin'Liya | 300 | 300 | 4 | Flier | Carnivore |
| Scuba Jeff | 300 | 300 | 1 | Semi-Aquatic | Omnivore |
Capukoralu is the symmetrical case at 700 and 700. Aqoxturumox is the lopsided one: 2,400 seconds under water against 120 out of it, a twenty-to-one ratio that says the creature is not meant to leave.
Longest oxygen timers
The twenty highest oxygen values in the game. Note how few of them are Aquatic.

| 19 | Follugila | 600 | N/A | 5 | Flier | Omnivore |
| 20 | Phugu | 600 | N/A | 2 | Semi-Aquatic | Herbivore |
Only three of the 28 Aquatic creatures appear, because the other 25 have no oxygen value at all: they do not breathe air, so a breath-holding number would be meaningless for them. The long tail belongs to Fliers and Semi-Aquatics, and the outright leader, Dioxikin, is a Tier 2 Flier.
The other thing the ranking hides is how flat the rest of the field is. Of the 397 creatures with an oxygen value, 271 sit at exactly 25 seconds, and 275 are at 25 or below. The median for the field is 25 and the minimum is 10. In other words, oxygen is a near-universal field but a near-useless one for 70 per cent of the roster: it is a token value that tells you a land creature drowns quickly. Only the tail above about 60 seconds describes a creature you would take into deep water on purpose. That distribution is computed from the 4 September 2026 table.
Longest moisture timers
Moisture is the rarer field and therefore the more informative one. Highest values first.
| Creature | Moisture (s) | Tier | Type | Diet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fellisio | 1200 | 4 | Flier | Carnivore |
| Paradise Fellisio | 1200 | 4 | Flier | Carnivore |
| Abyssal Geortharoc | 900 | 5 | Semi-Aquatic | Herbivore |
| Auraron | 900 | 5 | Semi-Aquatic | Carnivore |
| Dunklaestus | 900 | 3 | Semi-Aquatic | Carnivore |
| Kavouradis | 900 | 5 | Semi-Aquatic | Carnivore |
| Lissiceous | 900 | 3 | Semi-Aquatic | Carnivore |
| Militrua | 900 | 4 | Semi-Aquatic | Herbivore |
| Moonelle | 900 | 1 | Semi-Aquatic | Herbivore |
| Miik | 720 | 1 | Semi-Aquatic | Herbivore |
| Capukoralu | 700 | 4 | Semi-Aquatic | Herbivore |
| Aesmir | 600 | 5 | Flier | Herbivore |
| Crata Peretina | 600 | 5 | Semi-Aquatic | Herbivore |
| Glysgadota | 600 | 4 | Semi-Aquatic | Omnivore |
| Gobli | 600 | 2 | Semi-Aquatic | Herbivore |
The bottom of this field matters more than the top, because a short moisture timer is a hard leash. The shortest values in the game are Kretapex and Sequidliom at 20 seconds, then Garluhmoat and Magnacetus at 25 and Eigion Warden at 30. All five are Aquatic, four of them Tier 5. A twenty-second dry clock on an Enormous creature means the shoreline is not a route, it is a wall. Values computed from the 4 September 2026 table.

| Flipli | 1 | Herbivore | 1650 | 60 | 202 | 110 | 55 | 120 |
Two readings fall straight out of it. First, Aquatic is not a weak group: its damage median of 245 sits above the Terrestrial median of 225 and the Flier median of 182.5, and its health median of 6,500 is the highest of any type. Arachyu at 650 damage ties for the highest damage figure in the game. Second, Eigion Warden is the reminder that stats do not read as a ranking: a Tier 5 Aquatic with 8,000 health and 70 damage is built around something the damage column cannot show. The same is true of Angelic Warden on land, and it is why tier is size and not power.
Walk-and-swim speed, and why Aquatic looks fast
walkAndSwimSpeed is filled for all 481 creatures, ranging from 14 to 114 with a median of 31. Split by type, the gap is not subtle.
| Type | Creatures | Walk/swim median | Highest |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aquatic | 28 | 85 | 114 |
| Terrestrial | 220 | 31 | 50 |
| Semi-Aquatic | 69 | 30 | 50 |
| Flier | 140 | 30 | 100 |
| Glider | 24 | 28 | 46 |
An Aquatic creature's base movement is roughly three times a land creature's, and the ceiling is more than twice as high. The same skew shows in sprint: nine of the twenty fastest sprinters in the game are Aquatic and three more are Semi-Aquatic, from groups totalling 97 creatures out of 481. Nimoona at 205 and Flipli at 202 are the two fastest creatures in the table, both Tier 1 Aquatic herbivores. See fastest creatures for the full sprint ranking.
One honest caveat: the data gives a single sprint figure per creature and does not document whether it is measured on land or in water. The fields that genuinely separate the two media are walk-and-swim and beach speed, so read a high Aquatic sprint as a swimming figure and do not assume it transfers ashore.
Beach speed, the land tax
Only 37 creatures carry beachSpeed: all 28 Aquatic, plus nine Fliers. The nine are Dalghara, Fuejin'Liya, Gimon-Ogu, Logavian, Nemni, Opralegion, Uleoum, Ulyri and Umbraxi, all of which also carry a moisture timer. The official wiki maintains a Skyquatic category with exactly nine members, which is a match worth noting rather than a proof.
Across the 28 Aquatic creatures the beach median is 22 against a walk-and-swim median of 85, and in 27 of the 28 the beach figure is the lower of the two. Squitico is the sole exception at 80 beached against 55 swimming, and it is also the only Aquatic creature carrying the Agile Swimmer passive. The dossier records beach speed as a field name without a documented in-game label, so the number is reliable and the exact trigger is not. What the spread supports is simple enough: for an Aquatic creature, leaving the water costs most of its movement, and for the five with a 20 to 30 second moisture timer it also starts a clock.
Compare any two of these side by side on compare stats, or filter the whole roster by type on all creatures and creature types.
Semi-aquatic is a passive, not just a type
All 69 Semi-Aquatic creatures carry the Agile Swimmer passive, but so do 37 Fliers, 29 Terrestrials, 2 Gliders and 1 Aquatic, for 138 in total. Diver is carried by 53 creatures and skews the other way: 43 Fliers, 5 Semi-Aquatic, 3 Aquatic and 2 Gliders. If you are picking a creature that must fight in water, the type field alone will mislead you in both directions, and the abilities list is the second half of the answer.
The eighteen creatures with neither timer are the quiet winners here: 11 Semi-Aquatic and 7 Fliers, including Golgaroth, Sha'Rei, Lure, Mijusuima, Novus Warden and Xeleviprex, every one of them holding Agile Swimmer. They cannot drown and they cannot dry out.
The Aquatic Realm is first-party evidence
The game's Roblox universe, ID 1831550657, contains nine places. One of them is Sonaria: Aquatic Realm, place ID 125036322376647, alongside the main server, two Trade Realms, a Legacy place, Land of Monsters and a Hardcore Realm. A studio does not build and ship a dedicated water map for an edge case, and that list is pulled straight from Roblox's own developer API rather than from any guide.
What the API does not give is content: it exposes place names and IDs only, so nothing on this page describes what the Aquatic Realm contains, which creatures spawn there or how it differs from the main server. We will not invent it.
What this page does not cover
Trading values are out of scope for this site entirely. Accurate prices for aquatic creatures live inside two trading platforms' private marketplace data, which we cannot source and will not estimate, so no page here quotes worth.
Numbers also stop short of the whole game. Two creatures with the same oxygen timer can play completely differently depending on hitbox, bite reach, ability interactions and how the model handles at speed, and none of that appears in a 51-field table. Read these rankings as the measurable half of the answer, and the current subjective tier lists as the other half, clearly labelled as opinion. Ours is dated 4 September 2026, which is the point: you can check it.
Frequently asked questions
How many aquatic creatures are there in Creatures of Sonaria?
Twenty-eight creatures carry the type Aquatic and sixty-nine carry Semi-Aquatic, out of 481 released creatures in the stat table dated 4 September 2026. That is 20 per cent of the roster before you count the fifteen Fliers that also carry a moisture timer. Terrestrial is still the largest group at 220.
What is the difference between the oxygen timer and the moisture timer?
Oxygen is how long a creature can stay under water before it must surface, in seconds. Moisture is the opposite clock: how long a permeable-skinned creature can stay out of water before drying out. A creature can carry one, both or neither, and 11 of the 481 carry both.
Which creature stays underwater longest?
Dioxikin, at 5,000 seconds of oxygen, which is more than double the next entry. Aqoxturumox follows at 2,400, then Haxaline and Opralegion at 1,500 each. Dioxikin is typed as a Flier, which is the clearest sign that the oxygen field tracks breath-holding rather than habitat.
Do fully aquatic creatures move on land?
They carry a separate beach speed value, and all 28 Aquatic creatures have one. In 27 of the 28 that number is lower than the creature's walk-and-swim speed, with a median of 22 against a swim median of 85. Squitico is the single exception, at 80 beached against 55 swimming.
Is there an aquatic map in Creatures of Sonaria?
Yes. The game's Roblox universe 1831550657 contains nine places, one of which is Sonaria: Aquatic Realm, place ID 125036322376647. That is first-party evidence that water is a supported playstyle rather than an edge case, though Roblox's API exposes only the place names, not what each one contains.
What is the fastest aquatic creature?
Nimoona, with a sprint speed of 205, the highest figure in the whole 481-creature table. Flipli is second overall at 202 and is also Aquatic. Nine of the twenty fastest sprinters in the game are Aquatic, from a group that is only 28 creatures wide.
